📅 When is Carnival São Vicente 2026?
The main festivities take place in February 2026, with parades and events building up throughout the week. Key Carnival dates 2026:

- Saturday, February 14 – Community parades
- Sunday, February 15 – Mandinga performances
- Monday, February 16 – Official evening parade

The biggest crowds are on Carnival Monday and Tuesday nights.The official parade nights (the highlight) traditionally happen on Carnival Monday and Tuesday, but the city is already alive with music and performances from the days before.
📍 Where does the Mindelo Carnival happen?
The heart of the celebration is in Mindelo city center, especially along the official parade route that passes through:
- Rua de Lisboa
- Rua Franz Fanon
- Praça Estrela
- Avenida Marginal

The Municipality of São Vicente has issued an official warning about fraudulent ticket websites.
Government grandstand (bancada) tickets:
- ❌ NOT sold online
- ✅ Sold only in person
- 📍 At Estádio Adérito Sena
- 📅 Only on the officially announced Saturday and Sunday
- ⚠️ Any website selling bancada tickets online should be treated as suspicious.
